FAQ

October to March offers the best conditions: warmest water (27-30°C), best visibility (20-40m), whale sharks on Mafia, and calm seas. June-September is cooler (24-26°C) with sometimes reduced visibility but still good diving. April-May can have rough seas and reduced visibility.

Absolutely. Zanzibar has excellent beginner-friendly dive sites and many PADI-certified dive centres offering courses. Warm water (no wetsuit needed), good visibility, and calm reef sites make it an ideal place to learn. A PADI Open Water course takes 3-4 days and costs $350-500.
