Vaccinations for Tanzania — 2026 Guide

Tanzania requires a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate for travellers arriving from endemic countries — this includes anyone arriving from Kenya (very common for combined safari trips). Additionally, Zanzibar has its own Yellow Fever enforcement. Several other vaccines are strongly recommended.

Important: If combining a Kenya safari with Tanzania (e.g., Maasai Mara then Serengeti), you MUST have a Yellow Fever certificate. Tanzania considers Kenya an endemic country. Zanzibar authorities are particularly strict about enforcement.
