  • Arusha National Park: Just 25 km from the city. Mount Meru (4,566m), Momella Lakes, colobus monkeys, giraffes, and flamingos. Entry: $45/adult.
  • Mount Meru: Africa's 5th highest peak. 3-4 day trek through rainforest and alpine desert. Excellent Kilimanjaro warm-up. Permit: $70/day.
