Required Documents

Tourist Visa Requirements:

  • Valid Indian passport (min. 6 months validity, 2 blank pages)
  • Completed visa application form
  • One passport-sized photograph
  • Return flight booking or itinerary
  • Hotel reservation or invitation letter
  • Bank statement (last 3 months) showing sufficient funds
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate (if transiting endemic countries)

Business Visa Additional Documents:

  • Invitation from Tanzanian company
  • Letter from Indian employer/company
  • Company registration documents
  • Income tax returns (last 2 years)

Visa on Arrival

Indian citizens can obtain a visa on arrival at:

  • Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), Dar es Salaam
  • Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
  • Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, Zanzibar
Note: Visa on arrival requires USD 50 in cash. E-visa application in advance is strongly recommended to avoid delays at immigration.

Health Requirements

Tanzania requires a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate for travellers from endemic areas. Flights from India may transit through endemic countries.

  • Malaria prophylaxis recommended (consult your doctor)
  • Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid vaccinations advised
  • Comprehensive travel insurance recommended
